Liu Da Cha Shan — 'Six Great Tea Mountains' — takes its name from the six historic pu-erh producing regions of Xishuangbanna: Yiwu, Yibang, Gedeng, Mangzhi, Manzhuan and Youle. These mountains have been supplying tea to the Chinese imperial court since the Qing dynasty. The company partnered with the state-owned Yunnan Tea Leaf Import & Export Company for much of its production history, which is why its older cakes often carry official export stamps. Its 1999 Da Lü Yin 66 'Big Green Seal' cake is a rare 25+ year collectible sheng.
