Yellow Tea

Yellow tea (黄茶) is the rarest of China's six tea classes — fewer than 1% of Chinese tea production. The defining step is 'sealing yellow' (闷黄), a gentle smothering that removes the grassy edge of green tea and leaves a mellow honey character. Very few producers still do it traditionally; we list this category for completeness and add inventory when we can get real material.
