Lang He 9579 is a classic ripe recipe from Lang He Tea Factory (郎河茶厂), one of Xishuangbanna's most respected mid-tier shu producers, founded in 1995. This cake was pressed in 2007 and has been stored dry for nearly eighteen years. Lang He built their reputation on traditional light fermentation — their wo dui technique is gentler than many competitors, which means the leaves retain more of their original character through the pile fermentation process. The 9579 recipe uses a blend of medium-grade Menghai leaves and has been produced annually since the factory's early years. The 2007 pressing predates the post-2009 pu-erh market correction, a period when many mid-tier producers still used higher-quality raw material.
