Authentic 龙井 from the West Lake (Xihu) gardens of Hangzhou — one of China's Ten Famous Teas, hand-pan-fired in the traditional flat-leaf style that defines the Dragon Well character. Grade A delivers the hallmark Longjing experience in full: a clean chestnut aroma, smooth sweet-vegetal flavour, and a bright jade-green liquor with a naturally lingering finish. Grown along the shores of West Lake in Zhejiang and fired in small batches using the traditional wok technique — the same process that gives Longjing its signature flat, sword-shaped leaves and buttery-textured liquor. Grade A strikes the ideal balance between quality and value: better leaf selection than everyday grade, noticeably more refined in character, still priced for frequent brewing. The clean brightness of the liquor and the chestnut-sweet aftertaste are what distinguish West Lake Longjing from imitations — this is genuine Xihu origin, from gardens that have produced Dragon Well tea for centuries. - 1. Place 3 g of leaf in a glass or porcelain cup — avoid metal.
- 2. Cool water to 80–85°C (never boiling — it destroys the vegetal sweetness).
- 3. Steep 2–3 min, then remove the leaves or pour off.
- 4. The same leaves give 2–3 more infusions — each slightly shorter.
