龙井 Lóngjǐng Dragon Well Grade B

Honest, refreshing Dragon Well at an everyday price — 龙井 from Zhejiang province, pan-fired in the traditional flat-leaf style that defines the Dragon Well character. Grade B delivers everything that makes Longjing a great daily green tea: a light grassy-sweet aroma, pale jade liquor and a clean, mellow finish that makes each cup an easy pleasure. The grade refers entirely to leaf selection, not origin. This is genuine Zhejiang Longjing — the same pan-firing process, the same recognisable flat, sword-shaped leaves — simply harvested a little later in the spring flush, when the leaves are slightly broader and the flavour opens with a gentler grassy brightness. For anyone discovering Chinese green tea for the first time, Grade B is the ideal starting point: forgiving to brew, consistent in character, and priced for daily use. A tea to keep in steady rotation — the kind you reach for on an ordinary morning and never tire of. Worldwide delivery.

Time

  1. 1. Place 3 g of leaf in a glass or porcelain cup — avoid metal.
  2. 2. Cool water to 80–85°C (never boiling — it destroys the vegetal sweetness).
  3. 3. Steep 2–3 min, then remove the leaves or pour off.
  4. 4. The same leaves give 2–3 more infusions — each slightly shorter.

One of the best teas I've had this year. Clean, complex, and the finish lingers for ages.
