2008 Banzhang Jin Ya 'Banzhang Golden Bud' Ripe Pu-erh Cake (357g) — a 15+ year aged shu bing cha hand-pressed in Menghai, Xishuangbanna, using traditional craft (勐海传统工艺) from Banzhang-area big-tree (大树) material with plenty of golden tippy buds. Years of dry storage have smoothed the fermentation into a deep, glossy chestnut liquor with classic aged-shu notes of dates, dark honey, camphor wood and a long, clean huigan. A collectible aged ripe puerh from the legendary Banzhang terroir. Brewing Guide
Gongfu: 5–6g per 100ml. Rinse twice with 100°C water to wake the leaves. First steep 10s, then 5–15s building. A well-aged cake gives 15+ steeps and sweetens over the session.
