茶盤 Tea Tray — Chaban

The tea tray (茶盘, chá pán — also called chaban) is the working surface for gongfu cha. Gongfu brewing is generous with water: you rinse the leaf, rinse the cups, overflow the pot to maintain temperature, and pour between vessels constantly. Without a tray, that water has nowhere to go. This chaban is made from a durable composite material — rigid, easy to clean, odourless and resistant to heat and moisture. The slatted surface drains quickly into a deep internal reservoir.
